An expert is a person who is permitted to testify at a trial because of special knowledge or proficiency in a particular field that is relevant to the case. My 37 years of experience working in the field of special education, 30 of which have focused specifically on supporting students with autism spectrum disorder, qualifies me to speak to educational issues related to the needs of students with autism.
